The first time I encountered Metatron was whilst watching the Kevin Smith film Dogma, where he was brilliantly portrayed by Alan Rickman as the Voice of God. Worth seeing.

The mythology of Metatron, found predominantly in Judaic texts, tells us that he is one of only two archangels who once led human lives – the other being his twin Sandalphon whose energies we also use extensively in Metatronic Healing® – and, as such, he understands us as incarnated souls, with all of our insecurities and despairs, our triumphs and joys.

In the stories Metatron was the prophet and scribe Enoch, a scholar who received The Book of the Angel Raziel. Enoch did not die but was given wings and transformed into the Archangel Metatron, keeper of the Akashic Records and our intermediary between Heaven and Earth.

Doreen Virtue explains that Metatron is very motivational and can encourage us to ‘overcome procrastination and take bold steps forward’. 

In their excellent book 'The Power of the Magdalene', Stuart Wilson and Joanna Prentis offer channelled messages from an angelic being called Alariel. Alariel explains that Metatron "oversees the Light aspects of the Universe, creating the Light and the Protocols and Language of Light..... in a way, Metatron provides the physical environment in which spiritual evolution occurs....".

Ultimately, it doesn't really matter - as spiritual beings having a human experience we chose to forget many, many truths. What is important is that we now have these beautiful and potent energies to work with, to bring healing to ourselves, humanity, the Earth, and to help us all take a step forward in consciousness.
